Planning data: destinations, dates, trip duration, budget, trip type, preferences, travel companions, interests, and restrictions specified by the user.

Generated itineraries: routes, recommendations, searches, saved versions, and exported PDFs.

Technical data: IP address, device, browser, identifiers, logs, cookies, and usage data.

Payment data: subscription status, plan, renewals, and transaction references. Full card or payment method details are managed by third-party payment providers.

Communications: messages sent to support, requests, incidents, and communication preferences.

  1. How we use your data

We use your data to create and manage accounts, generate personalized itineraries using AI, save trips, allow for later viewing, export itineraries as PDFs, apply limits according to your plan, manage payments, improve platform security and performance, respond to support requests, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, and send operational or marketing communications when appropriate.

  1. Use of AI and technology providers

To generate recommendations, Scapparee may process the information entered by the user using its own or third-party artificial intelligence models.

Users should not enter unnecessary sensitive data, such as medical information, complete financial details, identity documents, data of minors, or other specially protected information, unless it is essential for planning and they consent to its processing.

  1. External Services

Scapparee may share or consult technical and search information with external providers necessary to provide the service, including AI providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, payment gateways, Google Places or other map and location services, hotel aggregators, flight search engines or providers, analytics tools, and email or support tools.

Scapparee does not sell personal databases to external advertisers.

  1. Google Places, Maps, and Travel Providers

Some recommendations for establishments, locations, hours, reviews, links, or contact information may come from Google Places or other external providers. The use of such data may be subject to the terms, attributions, and policies of those providers.

  1. Cookies and Analytics

Scapparee uses technical cookies necessary for login, security, remembering preferences, and managing subscriptions. It may also use analytics, personalization, or marketing cookies when the user consents or when permitted by applicable law.

Users can manage their preferences from the consent panel available on the website.

  1. Data Retention

We retain data while the account is active or as long as it is necessary to provide the service.

We may also retain certain data for additional periods when necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain accounting records, handle claims, or protect the security of the platform.

When a user requests the deletion of their account, Scapparee will delete or anonymize personal data, except for data that must be retained for legal, contractual, tax, security, or defense purposes.
